Elevation and Drainage
The Bekwai Municipality is located in the physiographic zone of the plateau with an average elevation of between 150 and 300 meters above sea level. The geography of the Municipality is generally undulating with a few areas being flat, with sporadic, varying uplands rising between 240 and 300 meters (fig 3 bellow). The Oda River and Dankran, one of its tributaries, drain the Municipality. The river and its tributaries depict a dendritic pattern. There are many opportunities for year-round agricultural development in the area because of the dams constructed on the Oda and Dankran Rivers.
